Approaching business transformation + radical change and how to impact culture from a strategic lens.

September 2019 - March 2020

Startup Research Intern | SXSW

Lived out my Silicon Valley fantasy. Researched over 1000+ global startups for SXSW Pitch. Scoured startup newsletters, websites, and the portfolios of incubators, accelerators, and venture capital firms to find startups that are changing the world.

June 2019 - August 2019

Paid Social Strategy Intern | WarnerMedia

Learned what it really means to be "social media savvy." Was exposed to the inner operations of a global entertainment company in a time of radical change and the effects of the AT&T acquisition. Worked on branded content advertising campaigns for CNN and Great Big Story. Created pitch decks and post-campaign reports. Participated in an intern project where we created our own sales pitch to present to senior sales executives.   

May 2018 - August 2018

Corp. Comms. Intern | Weight Watchers

Saw Oprah in the flesh. Also saw the transformation of WW from a diet/weight loss company to a health and wellness company. Participated in that transformation by writing internal communications to employees and communications briefings that aligned with WW's strategic goals of keeping in touch with changing consumer attitudes.

My Passion

The social responsibility of business is to...

Increase profits? Nope. It's to serve ALL stakeholders involved. There is no shortage of issues that need solving and definitely no shortage of people or organizations who can solve them. Enter brands and social impact. Purpose and profit are not mutually exclusive. Brands are powerful, and there's a new future to be trailblazed.

How passionate am I about this? I wrote 50+ pages on brand activism.
